Ever on the search for something new and different, Durban's coolhunters have gone underground, hijacking lowprofile venues to throw huge parties. The Willowvale Hotel in Umbilo, previously known only to down-and-out traveling salesmen and barflies, has quickly become the ultimate party spot, resulting in a venue with a bit of a split personality. Crews like NO!NO!NO! and I Heart Durban regularly fill the three cavernous bars with the hottest deejays and live music, spilling out onto the outdoor patios and making it the place to be. Other nights it provides a home to the misfits (and traveling salesmen and barflies) with a laid-back attitude and out-of-the-way music. Car guards on duty.
